ecoReneux is the brain child of a small diverse group of friends that on one afternoon decided to take it in their own hands to eliminate 50,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases by the end of 2011. The idea was great, however how would a couple of regular guys be able to pull off this venture without the monetary resource that is needed. [Light bulb] Why not build a website and start with our families and friends and their friends and eventually creating a viral movement that would effect change that will help protect our planet now and in the future and all it would take is each individual donating $1.00!
How exactly would this work
A carbon offset represents a reduction in emissions whether locally or nationally for instance a renewable energy or a reforestation project that would balance out the emissions you and I cannot reduce. The bottom line is that today carbon offsets are the only way to get your carbon footprint to nearly zero. OK, so how does this really work you may ask? Here is how:
Donate to the ecoReneux Carbon fund and your donations will help fund validated offset projects (see our projects page) which would in turn retire the carbon credits created by said projects. It is that simple!
